Citizen reporter and grassroots journalism

肥力
我很愛寫比我年長的大學老鬼,卻很少寫比自己年青的范記中人,我這次要寫一下肥力,因為他打算做一件浩大工程,把《中大四十年》上網。
我與肥力不算深交,坦白說,我聽到關於他的,比我真正接觸的要多。
肥力不算是中大范記(即學生組織)很核心的人物;我有一位朋友K,與肥力同代,是一位當年學校頗負盛名的女性主義者,風頭頗大,算是當年很核心的人,但她曾跟我說有點討厭肥力,說話總是與其他人不咬絃,我當時不置可否。
K算是精英學生,畢業後再唸碩士,再到美國名牌大學唸博士,她的前途,我大概可以預知,聰明人總有聰明人的去處;肥力最近在稅局打臨時工,穿著還是讀書時的老樣子,閒時在網上很用功寫東西,影評呀,書評呀,這幾年與幾位中大人合編了《中大四十年》。
肥力做的東西很低調,卻很費力,《中大四十年》有六百多頁,編輯校對的工作量很大,但這本沒有很大市場的書,大概不會令他名成利就;許多人情願去寫畢業論文,拿一個學位,找個好位,比較實際。
想起中大范記,大概有這麼幾個字:批判、歷史感、啟蒙、抗爭,但似乎真的掛念著中大范記傳統的,不是K這位學生精英,我也沒有甚麼資格,但肥力肯定當之無愧,實在有點說不出的感慨與慚愧。
對K這位朋友,我沒有甚麼話要說.
肥力?我會說:努力啊!
